How Students Can Resume an Unfinished Timed Online Test

A sudden internet drop, accidental browser tab closure, or power blip during an online test can trigger severe panic if your work is wiped out.

Technical disconnects should not wipe out test answers

Many rigid testing portals reset the entire test to zero if a student's connection drops, forcing them to restart from scratch or receive an automatic fail.

Resume your active test session seamlessly from your history

  1. Reopen your browser and navigate back to your EduVetta student dashboard.

  2. Click on Tests and locate the exam marked with an active 'Continue' button.

  3. Click Continue to immediately re-enter the test interface.

  4. Verify that your previously selected answers are intact and finish the remaining questions.

Put it into practice

Example: Resuming an exam after Wi-Fi router reboot

A student's home Wi-Fi disconnects on question 14 of 20; after restarting the router, he clicks Continue in EduVetta and finishes with three minutes remaining.

Worth checking first

  • Your answers auto-save to cloud storage as you click or type each response.
  • The exam timer continues running in the background for strictly timed assessments.

How EduVetta helps

EduVetta automatically saves each question response as you proceed, providing a one-click Continue option in your dashboard if your session is interrupted.
