Learning progress for parents

Notice the pattern behind a single result.

One low mark or one missed class rarely tells the whole story. Your child’s overview sets out attendance, average scores and submissions week by week across the last eight weeks, so you can tell a bad day from a change in direction.

Why it helps

You can offer help when a pattern calls for it and stay relaxed when one result is only a blip.

01

Eight weeks, week by week

A trend chart plots attendance rate, average score and number of submissions for each of the last eight weeks. If you prefer exact numbers to lines, the same data is available as a table.

02

Attention notes, plainly worded

A short list flags recorded patterns, such as attendance below 75%, several lectures missed this month or no activity for two weeks. When nothing is flagged, the overview tells you that too.

03

Averages by kind of work

Tests, assignments and quiz games each show an average score, the number of attempts and the date of the latest one. A strong test average beside a thin assignment record tells you where to ask questions.

04

Class and self-study together

Below the class figures, the overview summarises preparation packs, practice tests and the current Daily Five streak. Effort outside lessons can be read next to results inside them.

From first step to follow-through

Three steps, and you are in.

  1. 1

    Begin at the overview

Select a linked child from your dashboard. Their overview loads first, with attendance, average scores and any attention notes near the top.

  2. 2

    Follow the weekly trend

Read across the eight-week chart for direction, such as attendance holding steady while scores drift or submissions thin out. A change lasting several weeks deserves more weight than one dip.

  3. 3

    Check the detail

Follow the links from the overview into lectures, attendance by batch or self-study to see what sits behind a figure. Then decide with your child what support would help.

What parents usually ask.

Do attention notes diagnose a learning problem?

They are prompts for a conversation and make no diagnosis. Each note restates something in the recorded data, such as low attendance or a gap in activity, and the interpretation is left to you and your child.

Are personal and institution results mixed together?

Class attendance and results follow whichever learning space you select, so the two are never blended on your child’s page. Self-study and study purchases belong to their account as a whole and read the same in every space.

How far back do the trends go?

The trend chart covers the most recent eight weeks, one point per week. The attendance totals, averages and results lists beside it draw on the fuller record.
