Recycle bin for institutions

Restore the records your institution still needs.

A deleted batch or timetable should not mean rebuilding it from memory. Deleted institution records wait in the recycle bin for 15 days, each showing how many days remain, and return to their section when you restore them.

Why it helps

An accidental delete becomes a quick fix, and nobody spends an afternoon re-entering a class and its work.

01

Covers the records that matter

Lectures, tests, assignments, quiz games, batches, lesson plans, fee groups, timetables, team tasks, departments, designations and custom fields can all be restored. A restored custom field brings its saved values back with it.

02

Easy to find

Search by title, filter by record type and sort by name or deletion date. Each entry shows when it was deleted and the days left before the recovery window closes.

03

Financial records protected

Fee groups can be restored during the recovery window. The bin offers no action to permanently delete financial records, which keeps payment history out of reach of an accidental click.

04

Respects permissions

Heads see only the deleted records from sections they are allowed to manage. A head without access to Fees, for example, will not find fee groups in their bin.

From first step to follow-through

Set it up in three steps.

  1. 1

    Visit the recycle bin

From the institution dashboard, go to the recycle bin to see the deleted records you have permission to manage.

  2. 2

    Locate the record

Search for its title or filter to its type, then check how many of the 15 days remain.

  3. 3

    Restore it

Choose Restore and the record returns to its section. A restored timetable comes back as a draft for you to check and publish again.

StudentsRecycle bin

What heads usually ask.

Can the recycle bin bring back a removed teacher or student?

Removing a person from the institution or a batch does not create a recycle bin entry. Memberships are managed from the Teachers, Students and Batches pages, where you can invite or add the person again.

How long do we have to restore something?

Eligible records can be restored for 15 days after deletion, and each entry shows the days remaining. After that, the record is no longer available in the bin.

Does the institution bin contain teachers’ personal content?

It holds your institution’s records only. A teacher’s personal teaching content and a student’s personal study items stay in their own spaces.
