How to Share Board Notes Online
Share board notes as an ordered document that students can open on the devices they actually use. A PDF usually preserves diagrams and mathematical working better than copying everything into a message. Add a brief explanation wherever the board depends on something you said aloud.
A board image can lose its meaning outside class
Arrows, shorthand and colours may be obvious while you point to them but unclear later. Students viewing a small phone screen also need enough contrast and detail to follow a diagram without guessing its labels.
Prepare the board for online reading
Divide the notes into logical pages, keeping each worked example together wherever possible.
Expand ambiguous abbreviations and label diagram axes, units and arrows before exporting.
Open the exported file on a small screen and check the smallest writing, page order and cropped edges.
Share it through the class's usual channel with the lesson title and a sentence explaining what to review.

Check a graph before sharing
For a distance–time graph, label both axes and state the units. Write “steeper slope means greater speed” beside the relevant segment. Without that sentence, the exported drawing may preserve the picture but lose the teaching point that made it useful.
Before you share
- Avoid colour as the only way to identify important information; students may print in black and white.
- Keep a downloaded copy if the original online file has a limited availability period.
