Content recovery for teachers

Bring back the work you meant to keep.

Deleting the wrong test the night before class does not have to be a disaster. Deleted items wait in the recycle bin for 15 days, each showing how many days remain. Find the item, press Restore and it returns to its own section.

Why it helps

An accidental click costs you a minute of searching, not an evening of rebuilding the lesson.

01

Most of your work covered

Lectures, tests, assignments, quiz games, batches, lesson plans, fee groups and Study Packs can all be restored. So can smaller pieces, such as a single test question, a pack document or a fee instalment.

02

Quick to find

Search by title, filter by item type and sort by name or deletion date. That matters at the end of term, when the bin may hold a fortnight of tidying up.

03

A visible deadline

Every row shows the days left and the last day to restore, so there is no guessing. After 15 days the recovery period ends and the item can no longer be brought back.

04

Fee records protected

Deleted fee records can be restored like anything else, but the bin does not let you delete them permanently. Each workspace, personal or institution, has its own bin for the items deleted there.

From first step to follow-through

Three steps from idea to class.

  1. 1

    Enter the right space

Switch to the personal or institution space where the item was deleted, then go to Recycle bin in the sidebar.

  2. 2

    Find the item

Search for its title or filter by type, and confirm the name, type and days remaining before you act.

  3. 3

    Restore in time

Select Restore within the 15-day window. The item goes back to its own section, ready to work with again.

Good to know before you start.

How long do I have to restore something?

Items stay recoverable for 15 days after deletion, and the bin shows the days left on each one. Choosing to delete an item for good ends that option immediately.

Does restoring a lecture bring expired media back?

Restoring returns the lecture’s record, not an expired download. Recordings and board notes have their own 24-hour availability after saving, and restoring does not extend it.

Can I permanently delete fee records here?

Financial records are protected. You can restore them during the recovery window, but the recycle bin does not offer permanent deletion for them.
