How School Admins Can Archive Completed Term Batches Without Deletion

Leaving completed term classes cluttering teacher and student dashboards causes confusion, while permanently deleting them destroys valuable records.

Dashboard clutter from old classes confuses active students

When students see ten old classes alongside their current courses, they accidentally submit homework to outdated batches from last semester.

Archive finished batches with one click from the batch settings menu

  1. Open Batches in your institution dashboard at the conclusion of a term.

  2. Select the completed cohort and click 'Archive Batch'.

  3. Notice how the batch disappears from active student and teacher dashboards.

  4. Access the archived batch anytime in your archive ledger to review records.

Put it into practice

Example: Archiving fall term classes in January

A school archives all 45 Fall 2026 batches at the end of the semester, tidying teacher screens while keeping all past test records safely preserved.

Worth checking first

  • Archived batches can be unarchived and restored to active status if needed.
  • Historical test results and attendance logs remain fully accessible in analytics.
