Teacher Notes for teachers

Share your notes in folders, read in the app.

Upload PDF, Word and PowerPoint notes into folders, decide who may open each folder and whether files can be downloaded, and share a link. Students read them inside EduVetta, under Lectures, and everything counts against storage you can extend by the gigabyte.

Why it helps

Your notes reach the students they are meant for, inside the app, without a dozen forwards.

01

Folders with a say on who opens them

Each folder is private, shared with the students and batches you name, open to any signed-in student with a verified email, or open to anyone with its link. Change it at any time, and every folder has a link you can share.

02

Read in the app, downloads your call

PDFs open in a viewer inside EduVetta. Word and PowerPoint files get a reading copy made for them within minutes, so they open the same way. Downloads are off until you allow them for a folder; until then the notes are for reading.

03

Files large and small

Add PDF, Word, PowerPoint and OpenDocument files one or several at a time. Files of up to sixty megabytes upload straight away, and larger ones go directly to storage without passing through the app.

04

Storage that grows with you

Your personal space comes with storage included, and you can buy more by the gigabyte when you need it. Inside an institution, the institution buys storage for its teachers. Going over the limit locks the folders rather than deleting anything, with warnings, and buying or deleting unlocks them.

05

Where students find them

A student sees Teacher notes under Lectures: the folders shared with them or their batch, and the open folders of their teachers, in the space they are in. A link to an open folder works without an account; a verified folder asks the student to sign in.

From first step to follow-through

Three steps from idea to class.

  1. 1

    Make a folder

Open Teacher notes in your dashboard and create a folder for a batch, a chapter or a term. Choose who may open it and whether downloads are allowed.

  2. 2

    Upload your notes

Add PDF, Word or PowerPoint files. Reading copies are made for Word and PowerPoint, and the storage figure updates as you go.

  3. 3

    Share it

Students you shared with find the folder under Lectures; anyone else gets its link. Change who may open it, or switch downloads on, whenever you like.

StudentsTeacher Notes

Good to know before you start.

Which files can I upload?

PDF, Word, PowerPoint and OpenDocument text and presentation files, checked by their type. Word and PowerPoint files get a PDF reading copy so they open in the viewer; while it is being made the file says so.

Can students download my notes?

Only if you switch downloads on for that folder. Otherwise students read the notes in the app, with the viewer's download controls hidden.

What happens if I run out of storage?

Your folders lock: nothing can be opened or shared until you are back within the limit, and uploads are refused. You are warned on the day it locks and again before anything is removed. After sixty days the newest files are deleted until the rest fit; buying storage or deleting files at any point unlocks everything.

Who pays for storage inside an institution?

The institution. Storage for an institution space is bought by the institution for one, several or all of its teachers, and your personal space keeps its own storage.

Can I share notes with students who are not in my batches?

Yes. Open a folder to verified students and share its link, or open it to anyone with the link for notes that need no account at all.
