How to Restrict Notes Folder Visibility to Specific Student Batches

Not all study materials should be visible to all students. Advanced entrance batches require different materials than foundation batches, and paid notes must stay protected.

Broad note sharing confuses students and leaks premium content

Sharing advanced calculus problem sets with a foundation batch causes student panic, while sharing paid course notes publicly devalues premium enrollments.

Implement granular audience visibility controls

  1. Select the folder containing your targeted teaching materials.

  2. Configure access permissions: choose Private, Selected Batches, Verified Students, or Anyone with Link.

  3. Select the specific batches authorized to access the content.

  4. Enrolled batch members see the folder automatically under Lectures in their student dashboard.

Put it into practice

Example: Differentiating foundation and advanced notes

Folder 'Advanced JEE Mechanics' is restricted exclusively to Batch JEE-1, while 'CBSE Foundations' is assigned to Batch 11-A, keeping materials targeted and relevant.

Worth checking first

  • Review folder visibility permissions at the beginning of each academic term.
  • Keep teacher answer keys and solution manuals in 'Private' folders visible only to you.

How EduVetta helps

EduVetta Teacher Notes lets you decide exactly who may open each folder: keep it private, assign it to selected students and batches, verified student accounts, or anyone with the link.
