How Parents Can Troubleshoot Pending or Failed Study Pack Payments

Internet glitches during digital checkout occasionally leave payments in a pending state where money is debited but the course pack is not yet unlocked. Tracking status clarifies issues.

Failed payment uncertainty leads to duplicate transactions

When a screen freezes during payment, anxious parents often repeat the transaction immediately, resulting in double charges and refund headaches.

Verify transaction status before retrying payments

  1. Open the Study Purchases ledger on your parent dashboard immediately after checkout.

  2. Check the transaction status: 'Successful', 'Pending', or 'Failed'.

  3. If status shows 'Pending', wait ten minutes for banking gateway reconciliation.

  4. Check your bank SMS: if debited without unlock, reference the receipt ID for prompt support.

Put it into practice

Example: Resolving a pending UPI transaction

A UPI payment stalls during a server dip; the parent checks the dashboard, sees 'Pending', waits five minutes, and confirms it updates to 'Successful' without paying twice.

Worth checking first

  • Take a screenshot of the checkout confirmation screen if an internet drop occurs.
  • Never retry a payment without confirming the status of the initial attempt.
