Access and activity for institutions

Delegate administration with a clear record.

As your institution grows, one administrator login is not enough. Invite more heads, give each of them access to specific sections of the dashboard, and rely on an audit log that records every change made in the institution and who made it.

Why it helps

When something changes unexpectedly, you look up who did it and when, without a round of awkward questions.

01

Permissions by section

Tick the sections a head may use, such as Students, Batches, Fees, Analytics or the audit log itself. You can only grant access that you hold yourself, which stops permissions creeping upwards.

02

Individual accounts, not shared passwords

Each head is invited by email and sets their own password through a link that lasts seven days. Their actions are then logged under their own name, so each change traces back to a person.

03

Access you can switch off

Deactivate a head and they are signed out everywhere until you activate them again. Remove a head altogether and the audit log still keeps the record of what they did.

04

A log you can search

Filter entries by who acted, the kind of action and a date range, or search by name and email. The result exports as CSV, Excel or PDF for a governing body or your own files.

From first step to follow-through

Set it up in three steps.

  1. 1

    Invite another head

Enter the colleague’s name and email. They receive a link to choose a password and join with their own account.

  2. 2

    Set their permissions

Select the sections relevant to their role, for example Fees and Students for an accounts lead, and leave the rest unticked.

  3. 3

    Consult the log

When you need to trace a change, filter the audit log by person, action or date and read what was recorded.

What heads usually ask.

Does every institution head need full access?

Each head can be limited to the sections their role requires, and every head sees the dashboard overview. Access can be widened or narrowed whenever responsibilities change.

Are teacher and student actions recorded too?

The audit log covers changes made in the institution by heads, teachers, students and EduVetta staff. It records institution activity only, not what people do in their personal spaces.

What happens to a head’s history if we remove them?

Their access ends immediately. The audit log keeps the entries for what they did, so the record survives the change in staff.
