Video lectures for institutions

Live classes that take their own attendance.

Your teachers start a video lecture for a batch from their browser, and students join with camera, microphone, chat and hand raising. While the class runs, EduVetta records who joined and for how long. You read the result afterwards on the lecture’s page.

Why it helps

Nobody fills in a register after an online class, yet you still know who was connected and for how long.

01

A full classroom online

Students take part by audio and video, raise a hand and use the class chat, while the teacher can write on a built-in board. Teachers manage participants and can bring in a co-host.

02

Attendance from the connection

Each student’s join time, leave time, time attended and number of joins come straight from the classroom. The lecture page totals the roster into present, absent and an attendance rate.

03

Signals, read honestly

Where available, the report adds camera-on time and approximate face-visible time next to the time attended. These describe presence in the classroom, and they are not proof that a student was paying attention.

04

All lectures, one list

The Lectures list covers every class held for your batches, and you can narrow it by batch or teacher. Attendance for any lecture exports as CSV, Excel or PDF when someone asks for it.

From first step to follow-through

Bring the lesson to life.

  1. 1

    Set up the batch

Create the batch with its lead teacher and students. That roster is what each lecture’s attendance is measured against.

  2. 2

    Let teachers teach

The teacher launches the video lecture for that batch and shares the link or code. Students join and take part during the lesson.

  3. 3

    Read the lecture report

Afterwards, the lecture page shows each student as present or absent with their connected time. Export it if you need a copy.

What heads usually ask.

Does connected time prove a student was paying attention?

It shows that the student was connected, and for how long. Camera and face-visible measures add context, but none of them is a measure of attention.

Are lecture recordings kept permanently?

Recording is optional, and a recording stays downloadable for 24 hours. The lecture record itself, with its attendance, remains in your institution.

Do teachers need to install anything to run a class?

Video lectures run in the teacher’s browser. A teacher checks camera and microphone in a preview, picks the batch and shares the link or code with students.
