Students raise doubts with their teacher in a dedicated conversation that belongs to your institution’s space. Teachers reply with text, voice notes, documents or images, whichever explains the point best.
Learning Chat is where a student asks a teacher a question outside class, by text, voice note or attachment. As a head, you see which teacher and student pairs in your batches are talking, how many messages they have exchanged and when the last one was sent.

The head’s list shows the teacher, student, status, message count and time of the last message. The messages themselves stay between the teacher and the student, and are not opened from the dashboard.
Only conversations between a teacher and a student who share one of your institution’s batches appear in the list. Chats that belong to a teacher’s personal workspace are never shown to you.
Learning Chat is for teachers and students. Conversations between teachers live in Team messaging, which has its own review screen under Team, so the two are never mixed.
In Content, choose the Learning chat tab to list every conversation between teachers and students who share one of your batches.
Filter to a single batch, or search by a teacher’s or student’s name, to focus on the class you are concerned about.
Look for batches with little activity or conversations that have been quiet for a long time, then ask the teacher how doubts are being handled.

Heads see that a conversation exists, who is in it, how many messages it holds and when it was last active. The content of the messages stays between the teacher and the student.
They are separate. Learning Chat connects teachers with students about learning, while Team messaging connects teachers with their colleagues.
The list only includes conversations between teachers and students who share an institution batch. Personal-space conversations remain outside your institution’s view.
