Tests for teachers

Build the paper. See what your class understands.

Write the questions yourself or generate a draft from a topic, a document or a spoken instruction. Edit it until it matches what you taught, then share a single link. Results arrive as students submit, broken down by question and topic.

Why it helps

The hours you spent typing questions and totalling marks go into deciding what to teach next.

A student in glasses writing answers in a notebook

Start from your material

Generate from a topic with subtopics, an uploaded PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, a voice instruction or, where available, a YouTube video. Every generated paper is a draft, so you edit questions, marks and the answer key before anyone sees it.

Rules that fit the paper

Set a time limit, allow or refuse repeat attempts, shuffle questions and options, and add negative marking. You also choose whether students see their score on submitting and whether explanations appear after grading.

Marking you control

With automatic grading on, choice and one-word answers are marked instantly and written answers are marked by AI against your answer key. Any mark can be changed by you, so the final result carries your judgement.

Results by topic

Question and topic analytics show which questions were most often answered incorrectly and which concepts lag behind. Where certificates are enabled, you set a minimum score and distribute them to qualifying students once grading is final.

From first step to follow-through

Three steps from idea to class.

  1. 1

    Draft and edit

Pick a source or write the paper by hand. Check every question, its marks and the answer key, then set the rules for the attempt.

  2. 2

    Activate the link

Switch the test on to get its link and share it with your class. Turn on verified responses if confirmed email addresses matter.

  3. 3

    Read the results

Check the written answers that need you, then study the question and topic breakdown to decide what to reteach. Distribute certificates if you enabled them.

Good to know before you start.

Do students need an account to attempt a public test?

Anyone with the link can attempt an active test without an account. Students who sign in also get the attempt, score and feedback in their own dashboard history.

What does a verified response mean?

It means the student confirmed access to the email address they gave by typing back a code sent to it. It does not verify who they are, who wrote the answers or whether the answers are correct, and it does not prevent cheating.

Can I print the test for a class without devices?

Each test has a print view of the question paper and a separate answer key for your own copy. The same paper can therefore run on screen for one class and on paper for another.
